Synopsis and Cast:

Laura's sense of integrity and justice is put to the test when she challenges the true nature of a local respected figure, only to find out that he's not who he seems to be. She also has to contend with her husband, Jack, skipping bail to visit Rupert on his birthday. Meanwhile, the annual pool tournament has the whole town buzzing.

Diver Dan:

Rupert's birthday is coming up and Laura has a problem. She knows how to cook now, but has never learned how to bake. When she asks Diver to come over and help her with the cake, he tells her, "I'm a cook. I don't bake cakes."

Diver and the rest of the town band together to protect Matthew Reilly from Sergeant Grey, but it's soon discovered - much to everyone's surprise - that Matthew is not who he claims to be.

Laura butts heads with Diver when she finds out that he was among those who lied to protect Matthew. When Jack arrives, Diver and the others see the precarious situation, and lie to protect Laura from the suspicious Sergeant Gray. Laura is grateful for the help, and orders her husband to go back to Melbourne and abide by the law.

Diver officiates the pool tournament, unable to play, because his partner - Matthew - is in jail. He doesn't tell Laura what the losers of the event are required to do until after she and Rupert sign up. She is shocked when he tells her that the losers have to run though town in their underwear.

Greg Stone (Matthew Reilly) was in The Bank and Oranges and Sunshine.

Tony Nikolakopoulos was in Killing Time.

Ken Weaver reprised his role from A Matter of Taste.
