Professor John C Coll invites staff to participate in the 2006 Sydney graduation ceremonies

I write to invite ACU staff to attend the 2006 Sydney graduation ceremonies on Tuesday, April 11th. The ceremonies will be held at the Sydney Town Hall, George Street, Sydney.

The ceremonies will be as follows:

10.30am Faculty of Arts and Sciences

2.30pm Faculty of Health Sciences

7.00pm Faculty of Education

Mr David Wenham will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate and give the occasional address at the 10.30am ceremony. It is yet to be announced who will give the occasional address at the 2.30pm ceremony. The Wiggles will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate and Mr Murray Cook, member of The Wiggles, will give the occasional address at the 7.00pm ceremony.

I hope academic staff will participate in the stage procession at one or more of the ceremonies.

It is important also to have a strong presence of administrative staff from schools as volunteers to assist with greeting and hosting guests on the day.

To register your attendance at one or more graduation ceremonies, either in the procession or as a volunteer, please download and complete the ceremony Registration Form and return it via email or internal mail to the nominated Graduation Presence (Student Centre, Strathfield Campus) by March 7th for volunteers or March 14th for the academic precession.
