Floods and fire
The floods on the Gold Coast played havoc with last
week's filming of miniseries Answered By Fire, which has
David Wenham playing a Brisbane policeman sent to East
Timor at the time of the vote for independence.
Even the wet weather day was a wipeout. Cast members
were supposed to drive up a mountain only to find the
road washed away. But the whole day had to be
cancelled because most of the crew couldn't make it out
of their doors due to flash flooding. The series is a
co-production between the ABC,
Simpson Le Mesurier and Canadian production house
Muse.
