YOU can literally feel the pride of our mates in Bowen. Not
that it wasn't there before, but now they can truly say they are known
throughout the world, and more so than us or even those strange cities south of
the sunshine. And may I say, there are some great stories coming out that are
very, very secret . . . but I'll tell them anyway. Remembering the famed adage
'Blowin' Bowen', where the wind blew the 'L' out of
it, well one local sparky was creating smoke for the
movie on the jetty and someone remarked to him from the production crew,
"Can you make the smoke go slower''. And I loved this one, about David
Wenham and Bryan Brown wandering through the video store. David stopped and searched
the $5 throwout bin of DVDs and said laughing,
"I wonder how many of mine are in here. Wait, here's one,'' and held up
one of his flicks. Fantastic. Wonderful
