A fashion event with a slightly different tone takes place in Kings Cross tonight. Optimistically billed as "the hottest, most provocative show Sydney will see this year", the Wayside Chapel's annual fund-raiser features pieces based on clothing donated to the chapel's op shop. "Given that it's Potts Point, the locals discard some interesting stuff," said the show's manager, Anne Cummins. Guests at the Plan-B bar get to bid in an auction for celebrity-signed artefacts. Nicole Kidman, Steve Waugh and Cathy Freeman have offered items, and David Wenham popped in yesterday to autograph shoes he wore on the ABC soap Sea Change.
