The Launch of ricochet working productions

Over 400 people attended- the biggest Tuesday night crowd for over 5 years at the
Harbourside Brasserie!

Stars including Custard's David McCormack, comedian George Smilovici and Murder Call's
Lucy Bell will be among those partying with new production company ricochet working
productions at ricochet on the rocks, a fundraiser being held at the Harbourside
Brasserie on Tuesday 10th August. The event, which will also support cancer research
at the Garvan Institute, features some of Sydney's hottest young bands and comedians.

Headlining the night is ricochet working productions member Grania Holtsbaum, who has
been writing and presenting her own comedy material and music since 1996. Veteran comedian
George Smilovici, who'll be MC for the night, first met the members of ricochet when he
helped them with a major fundraiser to take their 1998 Theatre Nepean Graduation shows to
the Sydney Theatre Company. "Back then I was really impressed by their drive and enthusiasm,
" he said. "Now that they've finished drama school, they've really taken the initiative and
met the arts industry head on."

Soul, blues and funk band Deep Lounge will be joined by newcomers Juiced who will be playing
the best of 1950's swing and R&B, to help ricochet rock the Harbourside. Complimentary
drinks on arrival and the amazing ricochet raffle, supported by arts industry luminaries such
as David Wenham, the Sydney Theatre Company and Company B, mean that everyone's guaranteed a
good time - and even the chance to win a luxurious weekend away!
