Amazing baby news for Lloyd The Sunday Telegraph By Peter Holmes April 9, 2006 POP singer Alex Lloyd and his wife, Amelia, are expecting their second child. Pitter patter: Alex Lloyd is looking forward to a new fan "We've managed to keep it quiet, because she didn't look pregnant," Lloyd told The Sunday Telegraph. "Everything is going well, and the baby's due in June." The Lloyds' son, Jake, two, is already a fan of his father's melodic guitar. "He says to me: 'More Dad, songs!' I did a performance on TV this morning; when I got home, he said: 'Good Dad, song!' " Lloyd's fourth, self-titled album has already sold 50,000 copies in Australia. The video clip for the latest single, Brand New Day, was shot in a bus around Sydney's inner west. It features actor David Wenham. "We were compiling a wish-list of who we'd like in the clip, and I said as a kind of joke it would be cool to get David Wenham," Lloyd said. "It turns out he loves my music. It was incredible to work with one of the best actors in the country." Lloyd's tour includes gigs at The Metro (April 27), Parramatta's Roxy (April 28), Revesby Workers Club (April 29) and Penrith's Evan Theatre (April 30). "I'm enjoying stripping some of the songs back and just playing them on acoustic guitar," Lloyd said. "On tour, I'll have my full band, but I'll also be doing half an hour acoustically."
